Women’s Bible Study
The Tuesday Women’s Bible Study groups will begin on September 16. This year we will be studying Paul’s Letter to the Romans, with a special emphasis on how Martin Luther’s theology was influenced by this writing. We meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month; the afternoon group meets 1-2:30pm; the evening group meets 7-8:30pm. Both groups are led by Pastor Geri. Come to share your stories, prayers and learn more of God’s story.

Spirit Quilters
Who are they? What do they do?
Spirit Quilters are a group of ladies that gather once a month to quilt and do other hand needlework. Spirit Quilters make the quilts given to the children who are baptized. Also lap robes given to members of LCHS when they become home-bound or ill.
Spirit Quilters have recently moved forward with plans to make quilts for Champa House which is the homeless center for families. Twin size quilts will be made for the beds and smaller quilts will be made for the children. Champa House gives each child a quilt that is theirs to keep. The group has applied to P&B Textiles for a donation of fabric. The cost of shipping ($25) is paid by the recipient and the company shipped LCHS 100 yards of fabric. What a blessing!
Would you like to join this ministry? Everyone is welcome! If you are willing to learn, there are people who are willing to teach you to quilt. Do you crochet or knit? Come join us! We meet the last Tuesday of each month from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. In the Fellowship Hall. You can join us for the full time or any portion of the day. Questions? Contact Kathy in the office.
